Lucas Kordt Iglesias (b. 1994) is a self-taught visual artist and tattoo artist based in Copenhagen. His practice moves between watercolor, oil, acrylic, and tattooing – media he uses to explore the visual as a space of experience rather than a narrative language.

The works revolve around the human as a state in motion – detached from identity categories and formal structure. The organic idiom, the transparent layers and the subdued choice of colors create an open aesthetic where impressions are allowed to remain undecided.

Raised in Nørrebro in a creative environment with Spanish roots as a background, Iglesias draws inspiration from an experience of belonging and displacement – a quiet investigation of the formal and the felt.

In 2017, he co-founded Fabel Tattoo, a studio and artist community in Copenhagen, where he works with tattooing as an extension of his visual art practice.
